I’m not trying to sell anything!

I’m not trying to sell anything. The way that I add value to the world is by learning from what I see and do, crunching that information in my head, and then sharing it back out. Through doing this, I’m helping others who may come across the same challenges that I have, except now they might have a way to get there quicker than I did.

What I do add, however, is a view from the perspective of how it’s affected other organisations. Ultimately, the reason that technology exists is to serve people. People group together to form businesses, and the structure, resources, and processes behind them form products and services.

I’ve seen how different businesses do things in the world, a lot of good and a lot of bad. One thing that I love about technology is that it’s universal. I’ve worked in many countries – other than the language difference, the tech was the same.

For anyone questioning why people blog, it’s for two reasons:

  1. To help other people.
  2. To raise their personal brand / profile.

Let the words do the selling – people and businesses have problems, people like us have solutions. There’s nothing to sell.
